Digital Resilience & Continuity for Micro-Businesses

Finally!
Straightforward Cybersecurity and DR/BCP

 For Microbusinesses

Let's reduce the burden of you trying to figure all of this out! Take 15 minutes of your time.

After spending many years translating the over-engineered language of the tech world in cybersecurity, enterprise IT infrastructure, and business continuity, I am now a micro-business owner like you. When I looked at how disaster recovery, continuity, and security were being packaged for businesses our size, I said, "Oh no."

Actually, I said, "Hell no!!!"

The historical first is the digital environment has come to us.  It's all around us.  It is now an "all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant for threat actors."

Enterprise templates don't work for us. They add massive cognitive bloat, endless alerts, and bureaucracy we don't have time for. I knew there had to be a way to build bulletproof resilience without the enterprise headache. So, I built a simplified filtering process for myself—and now, for you.

Awareness!  Most tech companies try to sell you complex, overlapping software defenses that bog down your daily operations. We flip the script.

Instead of building a bureaucratic wall, we focus on making you aware of what you may not see. You decide what that means to you and your business.  Specifically, entirely on operational resilience—ensuring that if a disruption occurs, your cash flow, data, and client relationships don't stop.

The Value

  • Having a NIST-aligned cybersecurity and disaster recovery/business continuity (DR/BCP) plan is a massive competitive differentiator

  • Lowers insurance premiums and dramatically improves underwriting advantages

  • Improved readiness and rate reductions for lender, banking, or financial reviews

  • Greater customer confidence & trust your business will be available when they need you

  • Wins enterprise and government contracts

  • Reduced operational disruptions and downtime

  • Ensures Supply Chain Preference: Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) supply chain risks are under a microscope. Being able to demonstrate documented resilience makes you a preferred partner over other unvetted micro businesses

  • Peace of mind - aware you are prepared

Presenting your core methodology (like physical network segmentation) not as a complex technical setup, but as a practical, common-sense decision that completely removes the headache.

  1. Isolate the Core Assets

We map your critical dependencies and eliminate decision fatigue before a crisis ever hits.

  2. Separate the Perimeter

We deploy hard, physical network segmentation to lock down your business data with zero configuration headache.

  3. Secure the Recovery Path

Welcome

Cybersecurity, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity Planning are outdated. 'Digital Resilience' is the language of 2026+".

Locked Out, Wiped Clean, and Offline: Sarah’s Story

Sarah Albert — SarahPaintsRappers, Washington DC (2022) Sarah was furloughed at the start of COVID and started painting portraits of rap artists from home. In less than two years, SarahPaintsRappers grew into a sustainable business, mainly thanks to social media — she launched accounts on Instagram and TikTok where influencers shared her content and she amassed thousands of followers. phishingforanswers Her entire business infrastructure lived on those accounts. No storefront, no separate customer database, no independent website driving sales. Instagram was the business. The Attack In May 2022, she received a message via Instagram from another alleged artist claiming to be participating in an art competition and asking for her vote. The message came from a seemingly legitimate account, and as an artist she frequently helped other artists promote their work. After she replied, hackers sent a code to her personal mobile phone, and after she verified it online, they took complete control of her business and personal Instagram accounts. phishingforanswers Within minutes, the fraudsters changed the emails and phone numbers linked to the accounts, added backup recovery codes and two-factor authentication — making it impossible for Sarah to use Instagram’s own recovery process, which requires access to contact information the attackers now controlled. They also unlinked her Facebook profile and associated new Facebook profiles with the stolen accounts. phishingforanswers The Recovery — Which Was Worse Than the Attack Over the following weeks, Sarah emailed every customer support, security, and anti-phishing service listed on Instagram’s website, including personal photographs, contact information, and screenshots as evidence. When she received no response, she messaged Meta employees on LinkedIn and leveraged personal connections to send internal emails at the company. phishingforanswers Meanwhile the hackers were using her account to attack her followers — and Instagram took no action even when other users reported the fraudulent messages. She attempted video verification — uploading videos of herself to confirm she was the authentic owner — which recovered her personal account but not her business account. At this point she had lost at least two weeks of income and had taken a position at a restaurant to support herself. phishingforanswers She eventually recovered her business account only because a follower — who had herself been hacked as a result of Sarah’s compromised account — had been featured in one of Sarah’s posts and could help verify her identity. The two women met and created numerous video verifications with various lighting options and hairstyles until achieving success. phishingforanswers The Aftermath Beyond the temporary loss of 8,000 followers and a notable decrease in sales, Sarah acknowledged there is now a lasting lack of trust in her Instagram account. In her efforts to publicly share details about the incident, she noticed additional scams targeting users whose accounts had been compromised — after posting about her experience on TikTok, suspicious accounts appeared in her comments claiming they could help recover accounts. phishingforanswers Sarah didn’t get hacked because she was careless or ignorant. She got hacked because she did something human — she helped another artist. The attack exploited her generosity and professional instincts, not stupidity. That makes her immediately relatable to any micro business owner. Her entire business was built on a platform she didn’t own, with no backup, no secondary channel, no customer list she controlled independently. When the platform was taken from her, there was nothing underneath it. That is the DR/BCP failure in its purest form — not dramatic, not technical, just the quiet absence of a safety net she never thought she needed. And the recovery cost her more than the attack itself.

The Total Data Wipeout: The Pacific Northwest Nonprofit

This community organization in the Seattle area operated like a classic micro-firm, utilizing a small network of workstations and a centralized server to manage decades of donor records, financial histories, and local community programs. The Attack The organization was hit by a crypto-ransomware attack that swept across their entire IT environment. The attackers completely locked down the network, encrypted every single file, and disabled administrative access. A digital ransom note demanded $200,000 in cryptocurrency to unlock the systems, threatening to completely wipe the servers if the payment wasn't made immediately. The Fallout The organization faced a complete operational freeze—no emails, no donor tracking, no financial processing. When technical advisors arrived on-site to inspect the damage and find a way to restore the data without paying criminals, they hit a wall: The Core Vulnerability: The nonprofit lacked an automated, off-site, or segmented backup schedule. They had no disaster recovery plan in place. The Decision: Refusing to fund cybercriminals, leadership made the brutal choice not to pay the ransom. Because they had no recent, isolated backups, they lost an entire year’s worth of financial, operational, and donor data. Security teams had to completely wipe and rebuild the operating systems of every workstation and server from scratch. While they survived, the operational damage of losing a year of historical trust and data took years to recover from.

How This Started

After 20+ years in cybersecurity and enterprise‑grade infrastructure — I now run a micro‑business just like you.

And when I saw the continuity and security “solutions” being pushed onto businesses our size,  I cringed. it was obvious it was technical overkill for small businesses; too complicated, technical  and to much work.

II said to myself "No! This won't work."  I actually said "Hell No!"

So we built a limited technical continuity‑first filtering system designed specifically for micro‑business realities, specifically for micro businesses like you— no bloat, no bureaucracy, no technical maze.

You Don't Have
To Figure It Out!

When you’re running a small business, every minute counts. You don’t have time to figure out what’s important in your digital environment — and you shouldn’t have to. We don’t give you choices to sort through. We simplify what matters when disruption occurs. This gives you the confidence that your hard work and customers are protected, delivering a full NIST-aligned plan for those who require it, along with an internal disruption checklist you can use during a crisis—allowing you to safely leave the cybersecurity DR/BCP plan in the file cabinet.

AI Interpretive System Diagnostic

What your business would tell you if it had a tongue.  We use AI to translate into the "cold physics" what your systems is saying. Owner says; "I'll back up my files manually this weekend if have time." Systems says "My memory is currently to a single point of failure. If I'm encrypted today, my recovery time is infinite. I will cease to exist in 72 hours."
